I want to use Money Keeper? What should I do?
To use Money Keeper, you need to download this app from Store and sign up:

How can I edit the initial balance of an account?
To edit the initial balance of an account, you need to click on the edit  icon beside that account’s name and tap Edit, then edit the initial balance and save.

Could I use Money Keeper without internet connection?
To register a new account or sync data, Money Keeper need to be connected to internet. Once you’ve had an account, you can record transactions, see reports, add/edit/delete accounts, and categories without internet connections. Please remember that your data will not be synchronized to the server until your device is connected to the internet.

I forgot Money Keeper password, how can I reset it?
You can use the Forgot password function on Login screen

Transactions

How can I record a transfer from Bank Account to Cash?
You just need to record a transfer transaction. On Money Keeper, a default transaction is set to expense. To change the transaction type, please do as below:
Step 1: On Transactions screen, press Expense on navigator bar, transaction type list (Expense/Income/Transfer/Ajustment) will appear.
 
 
 
Step 2: Please choose Transfer, enter all necessary information and save your record.

I cannot find the way to record an income transaction.

To add a new category, please do as below:
Step 1: Press Utilities in tab bar then tab to Categories  button
 
 
 
Step 2: Press (+) on navigator bar to move to Add category screen.

To edit a category, please do as below:
Step 1: Choose the category you want to edit on Expense/ Income Category screen.

How can I record my debts and loans?
1. To record a debt, you can add an Income transaction, choose Borrow for Category

To re-arrange accounts, you can do as below:
Step 1: Choose Accounts menu on tab bar.
Step 2: Tab to "pen symbol"
 
 
 
Step 3: Press and hold "Sort symbol" and re-arrange accounts as you want.
Step 4: Tab to "Check symbol" to finish

I cannot record income transaction on my Android phone, what should I do?
On Android, if each time entering amount of money of an Income transaction and clicking on “Done” button, it takes you to the screen of Expense transaction, please do as follow:
Step 1: On Settings of your smartphone, press Developer options to move to Developer options screen.
 
 
 
Step 2: Uncheck the Don’t keep activities box. (In some types of Android smartphone, “Don’t keep activities” box located in Settings/Developer options/Advanced)

Can Money Keeper remind me to add transactions at 9 p.m everyday?
To use reminder function, you can do as below:
Step 1: On More screen, choose Reminder
 
 
 
Step 2: On Reminder screen, turn on the reminder and choose the time you want to be reminded.

How can I export data from Money Keeper?
To export data from Money Keeper, do as below:

Step 2: On Export data screen, choose Account and Time you want to export data. You can export to excel or pdf file.

How do I use Shopping list function?
Shopping list function will help you to create a list when go shopping, supermarket or prepare for a party, an event. Instead of paper and pen, with Shopping list on your Smartphone, you will go shopping easily and conveniently.
To use Shopping list function, please following steps below:
Step 1: On More screen, choose Shopping list.
 
 
Step 2: There is 2 default Shopping list named Grocery list and Super-market list. You can add a new one by clicking (+) to move to Add list screen. 
 
Step 3: On Add list screen, please enter list Name and enter quantity for items to your list then click Save. You can click on edit button (i) on each item to edit item
  
  
Step 4: When you go shopping, check on item you already bought until the last one, if you need to by something more, you can click on (+) to add item.
Step 5: Click Done when you finish
 

or click Reset if you want to clear all checked item.

In Recurring transaction function I see the Upcoming tab, what is it used for?
To useRecurring transactions function, clicking on Recurring transactions on More screen.
 
 
 
Click on (+) to add a new recurring transaction, enter all necessary information and save.
 
  
 
   
 
 
 
The Upcomming tab will let you know which transactions is going to be recorded in the near future. You can record immedietaly if you want by tap Save button.

How do I use Budget function?
The Budget function will help you to create budgets of categories for a period of time. With this function, you can keep your expenses under control.
To create a Budget, please do as follow:
Step 1: Click on Budget on tab bar 
 
  
 
Step2: Click (+) to create a new Budget, enter all necessary information and save your budget.

How do I use Savings deposit function?
The Savings deposit function will help you to keep track of principal and interest of all savings accounts you have.
To create a Savings account, please do as follow:
Step 1: Click on Accounts ​menu then click on (+) to create a new savings account
 
 
Step 2: Enter all necessary information and save.
 
 
If your savings account already has interest payments, they will be recorded automaticcally.
 
After creating, you can review the savings account list on Accounts/Savings Deposit tab.
To view details of a savings account, click on that account.
 
When savings accounts reach the end date, the End date information will turn red.
To close a savings account, click Close button beside the account’s name to move to Close screen.

How can I keep track of my debts and loans after recording them?
To keep track of your debts and loans, you can choose Money lent/borrowed report.
 
This report will show you details about whom you borrowed and whom you lent in 2 tab
- In progress: all transactions about your debts and loans which are in progress
 
- In progress: all transactions about your debts and loans which are in completed

Step1: Choose Expense vs Income report
Step 2: Choose the Account and the period of time you want to see report (for example monthly).

In Expense vs Income report I see the check box “Include Debt and Loan”. What does it mean?
The Expense vs Income report lets you know you expenses and income in a period of time such as Current/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly. If you want to add your debts and loans to this report, please check theInclude Debt and Loan box. If not, please uncheck this box.

How is "6 jars" finance analyst working?

 Necessity Account (NEC - 55%):

This account is for managing your everyday expenses and bills. This would include things like your rent, mortgage, utilities, bills, taxes, food, clothes, etc. Basically it includes anything that you need to live, the necessities.

Play Account (PLY - 10%):

PLAY money is spent every month on purchases you wouldn’t normally make. The purpose of this jar is to nurture yourself. You could purchase an expensive bottle of wine at dinner, get a massage or go on a weekend getaway. Play can be anything your heart desires. You and a spouse can each receive your own play money, and not even ask what
the other person spends it on!

Financial Freedom Account (FFA - 10%): 

This is your golden goose. This jar is your ticket to financial freedom. The money that you put into this jar is used for investments and building your passive income streams. You never spend this money. The only time you would spend this money is once you become financially free. Even then you would only spend the returns on your investment.
Never spend the principal.


Education Account (EDU - 10%):

Money in this jar is meant to further your education and personal growth. An investment in yourself is a great way to use your money. You are your most valuable asset. Never forget this. Education money can be used to purchase books, CD’s, courses or anything else that has educational value.

Long-term saving for spending Account (LTS - 10%):

Money in this jar is for bigger, nice-to-have purchases. Use the money for vacations, extravagances, a plasma TV, contingency fund, your children's education etc. A small monthly contribution can go a long way. You may have more than one LTS jar. If you have more than one LTS, divide the 10% between the jars according to your priorities.

Give Account (GIV - 5%):

Money in this jar is for giving away. Use the money for family and friends on birthdays, special occasions and holidays. You can also give away your time as opposed to giving away money. You could house sit for a neighbor, take a friend’s dog for a walk or volunteer in your community or for your favorite charity.

How do I set up finance analyst report as 6 jars money management method?

To set up finance analyst report as 6 jars money management method, please do as following steps:

Step 1: Tap to Reports/Financial Analysis
 
Step 2: Tap to Setting button
 
 
Step 3: Tap to a jar in order to add categories for each one.  For NEC example:
 
Step 4: Tap to "Add category" then choose category for this jar
 
 
Do the same for the other jars. Sort all categories remained into expense groups for the most accurate reporting result.
Step 5: Set the rate by tab to the red area.

Step 7: Now you can see the analyst report as 6 jars money management method.

Where is my data located as syncing? Is it safe?

I don’t want people who occasionally use my phone can accidentally see my personal finance information on Money Keeper. How to prevent this?
You can use the passcode function to protect your data.
Step 1: Click on Passcode on More screen to move to Passcode screen.
 
Step 2: Turn on Passcode function and enter your passcode.
